Network Technician                                                                                                    1992 - Present

E-Mail:  In 1992 implemented first E-Mail system in the company.  Corporate Administrator of Lotus cc:Mail for Philadelphia office.  Provide technical support for over 20 site offices.  Support software & hardware on laptops, desktops, and servers.  October 2000, lead the company’s corporate wide migration to an outsourced email vendor.  This included all American and European offices.  Currently acting liaison between company and email vendor.

 

Network Backup/Restores:  In 1992 evaluated available backup software, implemented Palindrome Network Archivist.  Documented operating procedures.  Maintained software and hardware.  Administrated backups of over 100GB of data.  Remained administrator until system was replaced by Legato System in 1999.

 

Servers/Desktops:  Maintain software for Novell 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x Netware.  Maintain hardware on Intel based servers from 286, through Pentium III, using: mirroring, duplexing, and RAID 5 protection.  Administrator for 3 Tricord Super Servers, Compaq Proliant 6000 & 3000. CNA 4.1 Certified October 1995.

 

Network Wiring:  Design and maintain network wiring infrastructure in Philadelphia, Boston, Cambridge, Allentown, and Kansas City offices.  Supply layout and specifications to electricians for installation.  Perform load testing before allowing into production.

 

Technical Services Programmer                                                                                      1988 - 1992

Conversion of Honeywell 66/60 to IBM 4381:  Created new structure for DASD and RACF Security.  Provided individual user support during transition period.

 

Technical Support:  RACF Administrator on IBM 4381 MVS-XA.  Wrote supporting COBOL programs to fulfill auditing requirements.  Help setup the initial offsite Disaster Recovery plan, executed tests, and documented procedure.  DASD management including dataset allocation, backup and restore using FDR/ABR.  Software support of Xerox 9700 Laser Printing System, forms design, printing process, and documenting procedures.

 

Programmer Trainee                                                                                                       1984 - 1988

Responsible for designing forms on the Xerox 9700 Laser Printing System.  Maintained user community’s connection to Honeywell 66/60 through Honeywell Level 6 computer

 

Computer Operator                                                                                                          1980 - 1984

Worked on 3rd shift; responsible for printing operations on the Xerox 9700 Laser Printer.  Other responsibilities included Console Operator for Honeywell 66/60 Mainframe, Remote Job Entry Operator for Engineering jobs.  First line of support for the Honeywell Level 6 mini computer.  Was entrusted to print company payroll checks, and end of year W2 forms.
